Are you looking for ways to ART more intuitively, to let your imagination run wild and unleash your creativity? This class will show you how to do just that. Don’t let the title scare you – no need for special sharp tools... the carving is done with one tiny brush.
“Watercolor Carving” is a term I came up with that best describes this technique I’ve refined after stumbling unto it by mistake while cleaning my watercolor brushes of excess paint. It’s a perfect way to recycle clean-up papers and rejected watercolor projects. And who doesn’t like to re-use?! Of course, you can also start from scratch.
This is also a great technique to exercise negative space visualization. You’ll uncover little gems as you go further into your painting. The final outcome can be as abstract or as realistic as you want it to be. It’s all up to you and your imagination. Students are encouraged to share photos of their projects and ask me questions in a secret Facebook group (Watercolor Carving Students Group). Remember, this class never expires! The videos are not downloadable but if you bookmark the URL where the videos reside and take note of the password, you can work at your own pace, whenever and wherever you feel like it – it’s available 24/7.
See you in class!
